Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you train in your home or at a health club is your preference.  One of the main reasons people prefer in-home training is the convenience.  No sitting in traffic, no parking lots, and no monthly health club dues.  Also, in-home personal training is a great option if you feel intimidated or uncomfortable in the health club setting.  In-home personal training is ideal for new moms who would like to work out while the baby’s napping or if you work from home and want to exercise during your lunch break.  It is also good for those who have bought in-home equipment but are now struggling with the motivation and the education on how to use it.

Why workout at home?

No, you don’t need to have any equipment in order to exercise in your home. There are many exercises you can do with no equipment at all and I also bring equipment with me. I may recommend purchasing some small weights and/or bands but it is never required. We can also workout at a local park if you prefer to be outside.

Do I need to have a home gym to do in-home personal training?

Do you do virtual training sessions?

I prefer to train in-person but yes, virtual personal training sessions are available

What if I just want help getting started?  Am I required to purchase a minimum number of sessions?

No.  Not everyone wants a personal trainer to work with them on a regular basis.  If you have the motivation to workout on your own but need the education to get started then we can work together for just a few sessions to do that.

What hours are available for personal training?

I have sessions available between 6am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. I do not train in the evenings or on weekends.

Yes.  Partner training is a great way to spend some extra time with a friend or spouse while also reducing the cost of personal training.  It is important, though, that you and your partner have similar goals and interests in order for partner training to be most effective.  There is an extra surcharge for training sessions with multiple people.

My friend and I are both looking for a personal trainer.  Is this something we can do together?

Can you come to my health club for training instead of my home?

Most likely not.  Most private health clubs will not allow outside personal trainers to use their facilities.  Exceptions to this are sometimes very small health clubs that do not employ personal trainers and community/apartment complex fitness centers.  If the management approves then I can train in those locations.
